Gio Benedetti was one of my local musical heroes when I was growing up, and now I’m happy to count him as a friend and cohort. Gio rocked for many years in the locally legendary bass/drum duo project Toast Machine. He’s now busy touring internationally with The Brothers Comatose, a rowdy bluegrass band that recently released their album City Painted Gold.
